Hotspot 3: A Dark Night Full of Action
It is a warm night in August. The Caribbean Sea is dark. Suddenly, a Go-Fast appears on the radar of the patrol ship HNLMS Holland. This is a small, fast boat often used by drug smugglers. They smuggle drugs to the US via the Caribbean islands. On the Holland, the Fleet Marine Squadron is ready for action. This team goes after the Go-Fast with two FRISCs. These are small boats that are even faster than a Go-Fast.
Success! After chasing the Go-Fast, the team forces it to stop. The crew surrenders immediately. Suspicious packages are found on the boat. Drugs? One of the FRISCs sails back to the patrol ship Holland with a package. The contents are examined: it is indeed drugs! The smugglers are arrested and taken to the patrol ship on the remaining FRISC. It is still dark when the ship returns to Curaçao. There, the smugglers are put in prison by the police. A judge will decide what their punishment will be.
